Venue chosen!

After much searching, visiting and dealing with loads of other eventful life decisions, Mr. T and I have finally settled on a venue. Wouldn't you know, it was the first place we went to!

Mr. T and I were quite taken by Ramster in Surrey for their gardens and the eclectic mix of Asian and English family artifacts they have on display around their Long Hall and Great Drawing room. It seems like a beautiful place to celebrate the fusion of all our influences into a marriage. That and they have no corkage fees! In any case, we are provisionally put down for the 21st of May 2011!

Handmade Wedding

Etsy is a goldmine of ideas for wedding planning. Here are a few things I have been looking over recently:

Of special interest is the idea of incorporating paper cranes into the decorations and using lanterns in some way to create an atmosphere a bit like a Japanese matsuri.

Big sky wedding planning!!

Wedding planning: Before being proposed to I thought this would be nothing but a chamber of horrors. However, having had a few dances around in poofy white dresses and gone to a few venues I have to admit that it's not so bad. Especially having seen this inspiring couple, I have to say it looks like a fun house! It makes me think that DIY may be possible, despite the fact our current guest list is above the 200 mark. More big sky wedding planning to come!
